Elections were held in March of 2008 and our club has new leaders. Here are them talking about themselves:
1. President: Jose Maldonado
Hello everyone, my name is José Antonio, I received my BS in Perú five years ago and just finished the first year of MS in Rutgers. This last year has been challenging and with a lot of fun, in great part because of all the activities organized by our GSA. I am honored by serving as president, and I'm confident that our GSA will continue to be the best. Join us in the activities, and never hesitate to suggest anything that can be improved or any new activity. |

| 2. Vice President: Sanaz Jalalian | |
Hello, I am Sanaz Jalalian, currently a Ph.D. student in the Food Science Department. I have a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering and an M.S. degree in Food Science. Soon after joining Rutgers, I learned about GSA and realized its important role in bringing the graduate students together. Serving as the Vice President of GSA, has given me a unique opportunity for participating in this wonderful organization. Let’s support GSA and help it fulfill its mission! |

| 3. Treasurer: Shanta Lee Adeeb | |
| 4. Secretary: Peng Yuan | |
Hello, my name is Peng Yuan and I am currently pursuing my master degree under the direction of Dr. Yam in the area of food packaging, focused on antimicrobial controlled release packaging. After a tough college I got two degrees in 2007, one is the B.S. in Food Science and the other is B.M. in Business Administration from Tianjin University, China. The incentive choosing that is because I believe Science and Management background are like my two legs which could make me walking further. Since coming to Rutgers I am highly involved in GSA and I am always ready to learn, even from zero, like a child. Join our GSA and you could learn a lot, I promise. Also believe in that, our club is excellent, it is because of you. |
