| The Food Manufacturing Technology
Facility is a 31,000 square foot off-campus building located at 120 New England Avenue in
Piscataway, New Jersey. The facility contains 7,500 square feet of USDA/ FSIS/FDA approved manufacturing space, as well as a Product Development Kitchen. Quality Control Laboratory, and other support space including an information resources room, a conference room, and offices. The facility and related equipment are available for short- and long-term use for proprietary product and process development. Technicians and staff are available to instruct, supervise, and assist in conducting test work. |

The Pilot Plant houses:
The facility also has advanced inspection equipment including production scale package integrity testing equipment and machine vision. |

The Product Development Kitchen is available for Facility users which are interested in producing preliminary product samples. It contains typical bench-scale and restaurant sized kitchen equipment. |

The Quality Control Laboratory contains basic instrumentation and laboratory materials necessary for bench-top ingredient, packaging, and product testing during the formative stages of R&D projects. A layout of the FMT facility is shown below.
