Worked on genetics, mode of action, and purification of antimicrobial peptides such as pediocin PA-1, histatin-5 and nisin.
Conducted research on staphylococcal enterotoxin A.
Participated in design of a Bacillus thuringiensis phage-resistant strain producer of entomotoxin.
Conducted research on genetics of riboflavin production in Bacillus subtilis.
