All Food Science Major and Minor students MUST meet with their advisors as below:
WHEN SHOULD A STUDENT MEET THEIR ADVISOR?
Fall Semester

Add/Drop courses- Fall semester:
Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors


1st week of Fall Semester

Spring Course Selection:
Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, & Seniors
Spring Registration:
End of October to November
Summer Course Selection:
Seniors- graduating after May;
Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors students that plan to enroll in Summer course(s) outside of Rutgers, New Brunswick
Last 2 weeks of October
Summer Registration:
Registration depends on where the Summer course will be taken
Spring Semester
Add/Drop courses- Spring semester:
Rising Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors
1st week of Spring Semester
Summer Course Selection at Rutgers
1st two weeks of February
Registration begins: 3rd week of February
Senior Work-sheet Check-list & Verification of Meeting with Advisor:
RISING Seniors & SUPER Seniors ONLY
1st-3rd week of March
Date will be fixed by the start of Spring semester
Fall course selection:
Rising sophomores & Rising Juniors
1st two weeks of April
Registration begins:

Mid-April†

Students CANNOT register for next Fall courses if they fail to do this
